This filter should be changed within 30 days to a better filter. Each filter has a size on the paper – this is the correct size for your system. Each filter has a MERV rating. Air Conditioning Systems are measured by tons. A ton is the cooling capacity of an air conditioning system. One ton is equal to the amount of heat required to melt one tone of ice in a 24 hour period. We know you aren’t trying to melt the ice so we recommend letting our Area Managers assess your current system and the layout of your home among other factors to determine the proper tonnage for your home.
